Just wondering why no browser tries to shorten the URLs in a "better" way, similar to the "Recent Items" menu of Mac OS X. I would propose shortening URLs in the middle of the non-host portion if necessary, and furthermore comparing for similar entries in the list and try to keep them distinct.
