Searching the URLs and (sometimes very long) titles of tens of thousands of websites very fast is not an easy problem. But, I think I’ve come up with at least the beginnings of a solution. Here is a movie of title searching 20,000+ websites in Camino:
It is fast. However:
- Does not search URLs yet (although that’s the easy part)
- Preloads a bunch of data
- I have no idea if this will work in languages other than English
